Pursue to Possess!

In this eleventh month of the year, we will consider Joshua 23 as a step towards ending this year distinguished and from verse one we deduce that God is interested in giving rest to His chosen people. In verse two we see Joshua summon the entire congregation from ordinary citizens, religious officials to tribal heads depicting that a man of God is subject only to God while all others are subject to him hence it is an insult to God for a real man of God to contest elections for political office when through God, he can influence his generation for good without being in an elective office. In the third verse we discover that the secret of success in life lies in being allied with God because He will go to any extent to protect and defend His chosen people.Joshua allotted unconquered land to the Israelites underlying the fact that it takes faith to walk with God; those lands were already promised to them in Abraham by God hence the promises of God are valid till eternity but it takes our diligence to inherit them.

REVELATIONS 17

Verses 1&2 proves that God is incensed about sexual immorality and drunkenness.

Verses 3-12 reveals that the spirit behind drunkenness and sexual immorality is blasphemous with the spiritual name of Great Babylon which persecutes and kills Christians. This spirit will in later day manifest physically as seven distinct human heads of state; five have already been, one is yet to come while the last to manifest will be the anti-Christ during whose reign a union of ten sovereign kings in another part of the world would form an alliance with him to dominate the world.

Verses 13-14 states that the purpose of this alliance is to fight Jesus who would defeat them.

Verse 15 shows that the influence of the anti-Christ will spread throughout the whole world across nations, races, languages and peoples.

Verses 17-18 states that the false prophet who heads the end time world wide false religion which does not submit to God and is depicted as the prostitute because every significant religion in the world would be affiliated to it would compete with the anti-Christ for world dominance; the later and his allies would however destroy it.

D one Lost Sheep!

It was at the Muritala international airport ikeja Lagos Nigeria few weeks ago while waiting for this year’s batch of foreign disciples of our Maranatha College of Evangelism, on a month’s field excursion and deliverance impartation, that the following took place.

The last to arrive was also the only one coming through Lagos because others had booked direct flight to Benin republic and her flight was scheduled to arrive at 5.35am.

Ordinarily, I would have sent an assistant seeing that I would be finishing from a night vigil at 4.00am that morning but few days prior, the mother of this 29 years old married mother of one had called me in Benin wanting guarantees that her daughter would be okay since all their attempts to dissuade her to travel on this mission had failed.

Usually, between five to seven disciples from Europe and USA visit with the ministry yearly for diverse purposes so I had wasted no time in given her my word as God’s servant that her daughter would not only be okay but would return home to America psychologically, emotionally and spiritually better than she left it.

Hence, I had deprived myself of needed sleep that night to...
